Shouldn’t the victims be asked?

Flood victims in Poland still go without basic necessities, not thanks to uncaring other Polish people. What would you say, if a person brings nicely washed and ironed bed linen to one of the companies collecting items to redistribute only to be turned away, because the item was not new? What if you aren’t able to afford a new item, but are willing to help by donating something of yours?

I am proud of reusing clothes within my family and I pass on any pieces of garment we no longer use, but is still in good condition.

I think it would be a good idea to ask the flood victims first, before turning help down. When you lose everything, should you be so picky?
Why do the companies insist on stuff being new, are they going to use it themselves???
